Users and privileges

Create MySQL users and set what each of them may do on each database.

Create a user

Up to 16 characters after the prefix.

sbx_clinicbook_

We do not keep the password; store it somewhere safe.

Strength: not typed
  • At least 10 characters — not met
  • Uppercase and lowercase letters — not met
  • At least one digit — not met
  • Does not contain the username — not met

Privileges matrix

Each user has a privilege level on each database. Save the user’s row after changing it.

What each level means

All privileges
Every operation, including creating and dropping tables and granting privileges inside the database.
Read and write
Read and change data, and create and alter tables.
Read only
Read data only; suits reports.
No access
The user cannot reach the database.
